Summer Adventures

It's been a while since I've updated the blog, mostly because we've been out having awesome adventures! It's time to get back to work but first I thought I'd share some outtakes from our summer travels. I spent some time hiking Mount Washington with my good friend Matt Baldelli, fit in a little time at the beach, and a took a trip to Scandinavia with Maria. Enjoy!

This mouthwatering shot of seasonal lobster salad was almost a magazine cover star—but it didn’t quite make it. ⁠ ⁠ It's always disappointing when that happens, but eventually I realized that those changes are less about the quality of the photo and more about other considerations behind the scenes. Learning not to take those losses personally was an important part of becoming a professional photographer.

An al fresco feast like this one is a quintessential summer experience. And it’s easy to bring together—just grab a blanket, some canned cocktails, and all the ready-to-eat fixins from a joint like @hannafordmkts. Cheers!

Having trouble with lactose doesn’t mean you have to avoid ice cream (at least, not anymore). That’s where @beckonicecream comes in, a lactose-free ice cream brand that uses real milk and cream. ⁠ ⁠ I got to help showcase how creamy and delicious this ice cream is a while back with some fun pops of color to reflect the brand’s playful vibe.
